Event Staff

Start Date: Immediately / 10 to 15 Hours Per Week

Reports To: Store Management 

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide event attendees with a positive impression of an event experience by offering a superior, guest service experience. This position is expected to work cohesively with all employees of Unseen Heroes in order to maintain a superior level of service.


- Event Staff will work one of the following positions: Production Staff (Setup & Breakdown), Hospitality Staff (Servers, Greeters, Bartenders), Promotional Staff (Brand Ambassadors, Product Samplers), Entertainment Staff, Catering Staff.

- Enthusiastically greet and direct guests while performing assigned tasks

- Provide event guests with accurate event and venue information.

- Enforce event policies and procedures

- Identify and respond to emergencies according to emergency protocols. Involve Manager as needed

- Proactively approach guests that may have an issue and/or complaint

- Creatively resolve issues/complaints and involve Manager as needed

- Other duties as assigned

- Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays



− High School diploma or equivalent required

− Experience in prior customer service preferred

− Demonstrated strong customer service skills

− Must have a friendly disposition and a smile

− Must be able to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations − Experience dealing effectively with conflict



- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete

- Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to heights, elevators, in darkened corridors, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights, and haze effects.

- Frequent walking, including walking stairs.

Vendor Coordinator

Start Date: Immediately / 20 to 25 Hours Per Week

Job Summary

Provide coordination for all aspects of vendor operations all year, as well as some pre-busy season administrative duties. Oversees the vendor application process and vendor selection, managing vendor relationships and communication.


Job Accountabilities

  • Ensure that there are a minimum number of vendors at Unseen Heroes events weekly.

  • Assists with pre-season administrative duties by overseeing the vendor application process and management of vendor selection, vendor permitting, and overall permitting and licenses.

  • Communicates all critical information to vendors and event participants on a daily to weekly basis.

  • Develops and maintains vendor map placing each vendor in proper location at the market and communicating and logistical information needed for the day.

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with client staff, vendors, sponsors, partners, customers and community members.

  • Work with the Unseen Heroes team and vendors to maximize marketing opportunities.

  • Educates vendors about the mission and brand of Unseen Heroes events and markets.

  • Collect and track vendor payments received at events and markets and manage financial tracking sheet.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.



Must be enthusiastic advocate of the local food and creative movement in Sacramento.

Must be reliable, self-motivated and have good communication and customer service skills

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must possess ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner

Must pay attention to detail

Must possess interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Must be able to coordinate meetings and events

Must be able to gather, draft, input, and edit routine correspondence

Must be able to work independently as well as with the team of volunteers, interns and staff members.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education

Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred

Graphic Design Assistant

Start Date: Immediately / 15 to 20 Hours Per Week

Perform graphic design work, including newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, posters, reports, calendars, letterhead, badges, etc., involving color, type, illustration, photography, or printing techniques.

  • Create and produce exhibit and display design, web design, emails, printed material, slide presentation, and other multimedia applications.


Under the direction of the Art Director, the Graphic Design Assistant is responsible for the production of simple graphic design work for print and online, and web. 

Graphic Design Assistant prepares graphics for pre-production, production, post-production including rough layouts, thumbnails, and sketches, and prepare proofs of electronic files for print, online publishing, multimedia, and other mediums to convey the desired impact and messages.

Based on instructions, descriptions, rough sketches, etc. from the Art Director, the Graphic Design Assistant prepares and produces a variety of projects: single color or multi-color, single or multi-page utilizing traditional and computer-assisted applications such as page/report layout and design, illustration/charts/graphs.

• Maintains the visual and display standards of DISPLAY: California and ensures

the selling floor is always well-stocked

• Being well-informed on events and special offers in-store and online.

• Demonstrates awareness and adheres to Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, safety standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
