Dear Sacramento...

It’s been quite the year, huh? Have you been taking care of yourself? We’ve got a LOT to catch up on but, more importantly, we hope this letter finds you well.

Can you believe a year ago we thought this thing would only last a couple of weeks? Well, the pandemic gave us a lot of time to reflect on the past, look to the future, and put a lot of our focus on health and wellness. So, we’ve been thinking…

Sacramento, you’re already the go-to rep for so many dope things: the Farm-to-Fork movement, the city of trees, a booming scene for arts and culture, delicious food (and drink), nature, nightlife, and — can’t forget — you’re the Capital of the most gorgeous state in the union. For such a “small town” you sure pack a lot in your bio. But, we think it’s about time to step up and set an even bigger example, not just for the community, but for the world.

“Sacramento, the Capital of Health and Wellness.” It’s got a nice ring. And who doesn’t want to be healthy, especially after what we’ve all been through together? A push for a healthier city, a healthier community, and a shared love for our collective well-being would be a capital WIN for everyone. Let’s imagine:

A directory of healthy eats, wellness programs, and resources for fitness and mental health. Programming for the community to come together for yoga, meditation, and cooking classes. City planning with a focus on social health and wellness — not just for the individual, but for Sacramento’s social soul as a whole. Physical, mental, and social health means a city that works better together, is happier, and proud of one another.

So, that’s been on our mind the last year. What do you think? Are you ready to take on yet another challenge? If you ask us, we think you’ve got more than what it would take — but that’s just because we’ll always love you (and push you to be your best). Ball’s in your court.

Be Well, Sacramento.

Love,

Unseen Heroes
